On August 2001, the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy reported a BT industry developmental strategy that was jointly prepared by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, and the Ministry of Health and Welfare. |

The Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Energy held a conference about the development of bioindustry and announced a 3.12 project to further facilitate the development of bioindustry. |

|
The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy inquired into policies of 3 fields in order to facilitate growth of BT industry in 2005. The 3 fields include the making of macroscopic Red-B TRM, analyzing BT industrial status, and devising means to facilitate BT industrialization. |
